A SON of retired legislator
Plaridel Abaya and the great
grandson of Philippine hero
Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Congressman ‘Jun”
Abaya left behind a promising military career
when he decided to enter politics. He was a
navy officer, having educated in the Annapolis
Naval Academy and the Philippine Military
Academy.
He served as military aide of then President
Corazon Aquino in 1991-1992.
Abaya is now Representative of the 1st
District of Cavite and is the honorary chairman
of the Kabataang Liberal ng Pilipinas. A sincere
public servant, Abaya holds the welfare and
interests of his Cavite constituents close to his
heart.
His dedication to public service was captured
in his campaign slogan, “Abante Cavite” during
the last election.
Abaya finished his law degree from the
Ateneo De Manila University while serving as
a congressman. He passed the last bar
examination and now joins the ranks of a new
breed of young and active liberal lawyers.
Abaya is a native of Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite
and is married to Rowena Abesamis Abaya.
They are blessed with three children. |
