Gov. Amor Deloso
Province of Zambales


COMEBACKING governor of the province of Zambales, Amor Dominado Deloso was born in San Isidro, Botolan Zambales on September 3, 1938 to proud parents Martin Ramos Deloso and Natividad Arendaeng Dominado. He finished with honors a Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of the Philippines in 1960.

Married to Sally Poynter Deloso of Iba, Zambales, they are gifted with nine beautiful, handsome and intelligent children namely: Zarmi, a physician; Cheryl, a lawyer; Ad Hebert, a provincial fiscal of Zambales; Yodel, a lawyer; Arys, a lawyer; Omar, a BA Philosophy major in UP; Renoir, geodetic engineering student in UP; Izelle Iamly, in her law proper course at Ateneo Garduate School; and Vijay, an accountancy student at PSBA in Quezon City.

A multi-awarded public servant, the province of Zambales under his term was handed a Presidential Award for the Cleanest and Greenest Local Government Unit and Cleanest Inland Body of Water. In 1997, sponsored by the most prestigious and reliable steering committee of the Department of Interior and Local Government, the Progressive Alliance of Citizens for Democracy, he was chosen the Most Outstanding Governor of the Philippines.

Gov. Deloso served as a municipal mayor of Botolan, Zambales from 1971 to 1986. In April 1986 to December 1987, he was the OICGovernor of Zambales. And in February 1, 1988 until March 3, 1998, he was elected governor of the province and completed three terms or the equivalent of nine years of gubernatorial position. He was again elected by the people of Zambales as governor in the recent May 2007 elections.
