ROZZANO RUFINO B. BIAZON

CONGRESSMAN Rozzano Rufino B. Biazon or Ruffy as he is fondly called was born on March 20, 1969. He is married to Trina Reyes and is blessed with four sons. He is the youngest of the three children of Senator Rodolfo G. Biazon and Mrs. Mozerrat Bunoan Biazon.
He graduated from University of St. Tomas with a degree in Medical Technology.
His career in government service started in 1991 when he was appointed Youth Representative of the Video Regulatory Board by former President Corazon Aquino. He was then ushered to the world of politics when he headed the senatorial campaign of his father in 1992. Ruffy eventually was named Chief of Staff making him the youngest Chief of Staff in the Senate at age 23.
Having a father who exemplifies his ideals of a good public servant and his exposure to public service and legislative work prompted him to run for Congress. His youth and advocacy for new politics had captured the hearts and support of the voters of Multinlupa City who desired change and sincere public service for the city’s progress and development. He was trained to be a responsible fiscalizer as an active member of the opposition.
He is the principal author of several bills which include the Tobacco Regulations Act (R.A. 9211) a landmark legislation that placed the Philippines ahead of other countries in curling the dangers of smokig; the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (R.A. 9165), Omnibus Housing and Urban Development Act, Creation of Local Housing Boards, the National LD System Act, the Magna Carta for Day Care Workers, and Homeowners Associations to name a few.
